Cannes Film Festival only happens once a year, but the effects are available throughout the year. The Baltic presents at Cannes Film Festival this year can be witnessed with the presence of Baltic Filmmakers visiting the different pavilions and lounges of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. As countries such as Lithuania look to advance Lithuanian movies in 2019 and expand their exposure.
Discover Latvia at the Cannes Film Festival at the Latvian Pavilion. The only Latvian film at Cannes 2019 is OLEG by Juris Kursietis. Latvian co-productions include Dog’s Don’t Wear Pants which was coproduced alongside Finland and is presented by Tasse Film. Both these films will premiere in The Directors’ Fortnight. Market screenings include The Mover and Lotte And The Lost Dragon. Inese Boka-Grube is being featured as the producer on the move.
